        nichu42 I'm having the same problem. Kagi Translate usually opens in dark mode, but now it shows light mode. Is there any way to switch back to dark mode?

                  It's inconvenient that I can't specify the target language in the bookmarklet URL from 2025-02-25. I'd like to know how to specify the target language using the bookmarklet in the new version.

                    Sometimes Kagi Translate cuts off the alternative translations:

                      Kagi Translate is good. It is way better than iOS Translate application (from my experience is the worst one).
                      In my efforts getting rid of Google, I already shifted to Kagi Translate. Quality of translations is fine. One piece of functionality I miss - display international transcription to find out proper pronunciation. Voice solves the problem by breaking the silence.
                      Is there any plan creating an application for iOS?

                        Even if I choose "Informal" in the settings, Kagi Translate still sometimes offers alternative translations in a quite formal and sophisticated tone. I tried to add a context that translations should be informal, but that didn't work either.

                        You can verify it via the hover info box which states, for example, that "This translation uses ... to provide a slightly more formal tone", even with the "Informal" setting:

                          Editing the URL already allows anyone to use anything as "from" and "to" languages. Why not make that into a fun feature?
                          How about a button that lets you add anything as a language that can be selected?

                            The main text field steals keyboard focus whenever the translation updates, which causes problems if you're trying to change the language after entering your starting text.

                            In this video, I enter "testing" and go to change the language, but the translation comes through partway through typing, so my next letter ends up in the main text box. I switch focus back to the language field and continue typing, but then the version of the translation including the spurious character comes back, and steals keyboard focus again, … etc.

                                dai Hello! Website translation does not support options yet. Once they are available in the UI, you will also be able to manually add them in the URL. 🙂

                                Also as a FYI: we are still investigating the older issues that have not yet been addressed. Thanks for the constant stream of feedback!

                                        The English word 'capitalization' partly—according to Merriam-Webster—means 'the use of a capital letter in writing or printing'.

                                        According to Kagi Translate, the translation is either 'kapitalisering', which is a finance term, or 'versalisering'—a word that does not exist; check https://svenska.se, for example—or 'skrivning med stora bokstäver', which can be translated to 'writing in big letters', which is wrong.

                                          The Translate widget in Search is buggy: the search field inside the language drop-menu menu does not return anything anymore.

                                          Also, I cannot get the widget to show up for queries with more than "Translate" like

                                          • translate hello from english to french
                                            …

                                          This is a new, unexpected behavior for me.
