    Hello.
I am using kagi translate, but the translation stops halfway through.
After redoing the translation several times, the translation of the whole text is completed.
I would appreciate it if you could correct the problem.
    Thank you very much.

Hi, when I try to translate the page https://www.xinmedia.com/article/114640, I get the error

Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information).

      macOS 15.2, Safari 18.2

      Regression:

      • Same error with and without content blockers

      • Same error in Orion 0.99.130.1-beta (macOS)

      • Google Translate succeeds

      • Safari macOS built-in translation succeeds

        Thanks!

        Vlad

For example when I translate the word "wife" in Latin, I get "uxor" which is correct
But when I type "the wife's son", I get "filius uxoris" it misses the vowels's length that changed because the grammatical case (it should be fīlius uxōris)

I know it's a minor thing, but it would be nice to have at least an option to show the correct orthography

DeoConfidimus We have not optimized for latin at this point as there is not a lot of interest to justify the investment, but we can certainly do so in the future.

pivic This should be fixed as both use the same API now.

Something I just found out is that Portuguese (Brazil) and Portuguese (Portugal) have the exact same Brazilian pronunciation when tapping the TTS button

Would it be possible to register Kagi Translate as a translation provider on Android so it can be used from apps that recognize those? DeepL's Android app for example is set up this way.

Sorry if this was suggested already, a big fat thread with elements that aren't loading if they're not in the viewport doesn't make searching all that easy.

@Vlad in general I 💚 Kagi translate, but the last two days it seems to have stopped working altogether. Just endless crawling-three-dots where the translation should appear. Doesn't seem to matter what platform or browser I'm using (data points: Orion and Firefox and Safari in MacOS, Orion in iOS), nor which languages I'm trying to use. What happened? Did someone knock the translate server plug out from the wall?

              • Vlad replied to this.

Uno-Selecta I am not able to reproduce this. Any more details?

Donno what other details I could provide; are there logs I should look at or something?

I can show you what I'm seeing. Here's Orion on MacOS:

And here's Safari on the same machine—first with Kagi translate, then with Google translate:

                    And here's Orion in iOS:

BenH @vlad So it has; everything's working normally now. I'm curious; what caused the problem?

Please display the translation for each sentence, similar to Cosense. Thank you.

                          Hello!

When trying to translate https://doc-kr.qudelix.com/5k from Korean to English, an error message appears in the iframe area instead of the translated website.

"Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)."

                          Environment

                          Firefox 133.0.3 (64-bit) on Linux

                          Steps to reproduce

                          1. Go to https://translate.kagi.com
                          2. Paste https://doc-kr.qudelix.com/5k in the source textarea beneath "Auto-detect language" (at left). After a moment, the source language is detected correctly as Korean; the source language drop-down menu changes as expected.
                          3. Click the hyperlink in the output textarea beneath "English" (at right)
                          4. Error: "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)."

The "Verify you are human" captcha times out very aggressively.

I run all my web traffic through a Hetzner Cloud VM, so I'm not particularly surprised I get the captcha. I am however surprised that it seems to time out after a minute of inactivity and asks me to click the button again. And again one minute later. And again. I think the timeout could be a bit more generous, especially given that I'm logged in throughout all of this.

I frequently notice that the translation voice output cuts off.

                              Two examples.

                              1) The voice output from the translation source. The translation played normally and in full.

                              kagi-translate-audio-cut-off.mp3
                              65kB

                              2) The voice output from an English translation into German.

                              cut-off-english-source-german-output.mp3
                              116kB

They just randomly stop abruptly, sometimes mid-word or sentence.
