Smarter video search is here
We've redesigned video search to help you find exactly what you're looking for. With one click, you can now see detailed channel information - just like how we show website authority in regular search.
Want to fine-tune your results? You can now:
- View a channel's reputation at a glance
- Adjust how often you see videos from specific creators
- Make future searches more relevant to your interests
This update brings more context and control to help you discover videos you'll love.
To fine-tune your channel lineup, navigate to Settings > Search > Personalized Results. You can easily create or modify rules, just like managing domains.
This update empowers you to prioritise trusted sources and remove unwanted content, improving the quality of your search results.
This was inspired by user suggestions on Kagifeedback.org, specifically from submissions #3936 @katana and #4806 @tea
Take control of your video search experience
We've added new video controls that put you in charge. Now you can:
- Replace misleading thumbnails with real video screenshots
- Choose how titles appear (title case or lowercase)
- Focus on content, not clickbait
These simple settings help you see what's actually in each video, making it easier to find what matters. No more bait and switch - just honest previews of the content you care about.
Find these controls in your search settings.
