I don't really understand this feature, is it designed to affect individual users results, or Kagi's as a whole? Should I downvote something because it's not relevant to what I want at the time, or because it's not relevant for my interests, or because it's irrelevant to the search terms?
There's too many factors that votes conflate: result answers intent behind user's query, result is quality resource that matches query, result is approved of by user's preferences/politics/biases/beliefs/knowledge.
The suggestion title seems to be about website-level adjustments, but this isn't how people in this thread alone seem to be understanding it.
Lots of people on social media, etc, will downvote things that are high-quality but that they disagree with. I don't think I trust Kagi users to be better in this regard.
