  2. Type a search term in the Tab Bar
  3. Tap go
  4. The redirect goes to the Kagi start page with the search term in the search box, https://kagi.com/?q=kagi

Expected behavior:
The redirect should go to the Kagi search results page, https://kagi.com/search?q=kagi

kevrodg Can you share the Kagi search extension version number? (are you using the latest)

I encounter the same issue on iOS 17 with Kagi Search for Safari version 1.09.

Vlad Kagi extension 1.0.9. Oddly, once the tab opens to https://kagi.com/?q=kagi, the search from the search box redirects correctly to the results page. Subsequent searches from the search box also continue to work.

Thanks for reporting this, and the repro steps were helpful in resolving 🙏 . I've got a new version of the extension to submit to the App Store, but if you want to fix this sooner, you can request a new private session url by visiting https://kagi.com/settings?p=user_details#sessionlink from a non-private window on your iPhone or iPad, and then paste it into the extension. There was an update to how those urls are formatted, and the newer format does not trigger this bug.

New version has been released today.
