I am building up quite a few settings in personalized results. And some of them block sites which have views I find questionable. But say I'd like to "seek out the opposition", then I don't think there is an easy way to do so.
What if in the "All results" dropdown one could also select "All results without personalization" or something like that?
This would basically make an entry in personalized result be handled as any other, no special personalized ranking.
I recently saw a post claiming site x which is a popular block, being the best result, when it is surfaced by kagi. And I had built up quite a few entries in my personalized results. So I wanted to try kagi without my entries, at least for a while. Only way to do that now is to delete the entries. A “normal” setting could make it stay in the list, so I could go back and fix personalized ranking later if I wanted to.
Now all my entries are gone, so building up the list again has to be done by memory.
I suppose when/if https://kagifeedback.org/d/1943-abilitiy-to-temporarily-disable-all-personalized-results is implemented, the need for this is not that important. But I still think this is an idea to consider.
This is now live, it is under Options. It is two clicks away but it may be easily overlooked. If you have ideas how to further increase visibility of it please open a new thread!
