So when i copy pasted the word рeаce into Kagi it came up with different search results than when i typed out peace. It turns out the e's in the word are Cyrillic. And the results are of significantly poorer results.
I am thinking that maybe the Cyrillic should be synonymous to the Latin letter. But i am no language expert and i don't know if this would have any unintended consequences.
Also this just occured to me, but this could possibly be used with other cyrillic letters that look like latin letters for the purposes of phishing. Like mіcrosoft.com (Cyrillic і). Or search result poisoning, like pages whose headline uses confusable characters: “Latest пews about Ukraine peace talks”.
Something like Unicode confusable mapping could help i think but idk.
