The Kagi help page's search box has a suggestion/inline results popover that is meant to show up when searching and on hover. If the text editing cursor isn't inside the text field however, the popover disappears when I try to click on anything in it. A bit hard to explain well so I've attached a video:

Would expect for this popover to stay open when hovered over no matter what.

I wasn't able to reproduce this, and then I was... and now I've forgotten how. 😅

My best guess is that you're entering into a state where there's confusion regarding which window has focus. If you either single-click anywhere in / on the window, or alt-tab to Orion, this shouldn't happen.

I think technically the bug here is actually that the search suggestions are being presented at all. The best change for UX is likely to alter the code so that the search suggestions are shown when either the search bar or the search suggestions themselves are hovered-over. Though I'm not familiar with VitePress; perhaps that's an upstream bug?

sarno I got into this state by using the !help bang, I didn’t test if it happened any other way but I think it did the same if I clicked off the search bar.

After testing it does also happen just by clicking off of the search bar with something typed in it. Firefox 136.0 just in case.

RoxyRoxyRoxy I'm specifically trying that in Orion and I'm now able to reproduce it sporadically!

Not sure whether it's a Kagi Issue™ or an upstream bug in e.g. VitePress, but it's definitely not just you. 👍
