Kagi Widget does not automatically pull up keyboard upon clicking on it

When clicking the kagi widget, it pulls up the search panel but the keyboard does not come up. This makes using it very annoying especially since on larger phones you have to kinda squirm your thumb up to the top 10% of the phone screen (I realize this part is a silly issue).

Customization of that widget would be great too, color wise/design wise to be more like the 3 options on the google one

It should pull up my keyboard after i click the widget, I see the blinking cursor, but no dice on it pulling up my keyboard.

Yes, can replicate, I tried to reopen an old thread on this from a few months ago since it seems that the fix got broken again

New user on android and thought it's l odd that it doesn't pull up keyboard. Hope it gets fixed fast.

When I use Kagi Android app Widget, I press once to search, but have to click again on the app text box to activate/ open the keyboard.

I'm using a Pixel 7 on Android 15 (AP4A.250205.002)

Ideally, from the first click, it should open the app, and keyboard ready for searching, rather than needed 2 clicks.

Nothing else can be done in the app other than searching, so keyboard should open automatically.

On my Pixel 5A, when I tap the Kagi widget on the home screen, it opens with the cursor in the search box, but the keyboard drawer doesn't open. I have to tap the search box to open it.

Desired functionality is: one tap on the widget, then I can begin typing my search.

Hi, not sure as to the status of this ticket as it's switched around a bit. But can still report having the issue. In fact it's worse than before, once you have the app "primed" it no longer pulls up the keyboard as it did with the last time this ticket was around. It just flat out refuses to pull up the keyboard at all times when opening the widget.
