Vlad Hello, I just check the Kagi translation, I want to point out a few mistakes and some info that can make the experience better. First of all For Kurdish language in Kagi we have two 1.Kurdish 2. Kurdish (Sorani), I'd like to see you guys rename Kurdish into Kurdish (Kurmanji). Also I test a few times and say Arabic characters while using (Kurdish) one. Only (Kurdish(sorani)) uses Arabic script but Kurmanji one use latin based scripts. If you need any help let me know.

I planning to switch from Google Translate, but its app can split audio output to users' headphones and phone speakers. This is something really valuable for my line of work because I am taking calls with headphones all day, while also interacting with people a multicultural community. Taking headphones on/ off everytime is a pain. I hope the kagi app will add this feature soon.

Definition for "Warner McGuinn" (all devices) states he is a fictionalized character: either from the show Severance or Legally Blonde (which I'm not sure either are true). Warner McGuinn was one of the first black graduates of Yale in 1887; his living expenses paid for by Mark Twain.

Translate always shows, that I'm logged out and Documents translation is disabled, asking me for a subscription, but I have a subscription and I'm logged in for other services. At the same time, I can see my old translations history.

Hello,
Please make "Rich text copy and paste" and "Plain text copy and paste" selectable.
Rich text is completely useless who want to copy and paste only the text content.

My Kagi Translate UI is in Portuguese, even though that's neither the selected UI language nor my browser's preferred language:

Accept-Language: en-US,en;q=0.9,pt-BR;q=0.8,de-DE;q=0.7

Note that pt-BR is accepted, but at a lower priority, and I feel like the settings should override it anyway.

What a thread. This could be another forum 😉.
I’m just here to report as small translation error for the Dutch Kagi Translate.
The word in the red frame should be singular in this context ‘plak’ not ‘plakken’.

Hi, I'm using kagi and something weird has started to happen.
I copy a text from google slides that I've made

and in chrome it when I do ctrl+v does not paste anything. It lets me write but not paste.
(the chrome is updated and no extensions since it's the workplace browser) (also I've tried copy&paste on other webs and it works as usual, so it's not the clipboard)
Doing further testing it seems it is related to regular paste.
I tried Pasting without Format, and it works.
Maybe is something related to all the formatting the text carries over?
I don't know what is happening, since until yesterday it has worked flawlessly on the browser.
So far the only difference I noticed is that yesterday it asked me to reload the page since there was an updated version.
Anyone else has had anything similar happened to them?

Since yesterday, I haven't been able to type in Japanese using the latest version of Firefox on macOS. Please fix this after the holiday.

I just checked, and it seems Japanese input is no longer working on the iOS PWA version either. There might be a regression from yesterday's update.

kotaro I cannot type in translate textbox using Chinese keyboard in iOS Safari.
Typing anything cause the key board collapses and no characters appear.

Since this update, the time it takes to translate long texts in Best Mode has increased significantly, which is causing me a lot of trouble.
It now takes more than twice as long as before.
Could you please restore the translation speed of Best Mode to its original speed?

Thank you for your prompt response regarding the issue where CJK characters could not be input.

It seems the problem where Best Mode processing fails to finish under certain conditions still persists.

I really like the feature, but I often find myself using the proofread feature for Swiss High German. The problem with that is by default it uses ß which is not used in Swiss High German it should instead use the ss.

I like using Kagi Translate for language learning. I type my foreign language (Japanese) as the input, and see if it translates to something comprehensible that matches my intent, in English.

I noticed KT has some incredible tools for suggesting tweaks and refinements to the output language.

But is there any way to have it do the same for my input language? i.e., if I type something in Japanese, it may translate into something that matches what I want to say in English. But, if my original Japanese was weird or incorrect, or there is a more common phrasing, I wouldn't know. Is there any way to use KT to see recommendations on my input text?

When I copy and paste text from a website into Kagi Translate, all the html style elements of the copied text get pasted as well. This interferes with the translation, sometimes significantly, depending on the website being copied from. This doesn't happen using Google Translate, for example. My current workaround is that I copy and paste text from websites into a plain-text TextEdit window, and then copy and paste that plain-text text into Kagi Translate. I would like for Kagi Translate to inherently convert pasted "rich" text into plain text, if possible.

tomratliff +1 on this suggestion. In fact, in certain situations, like copying Discord messages to translate and pasting, I often get a newline and nothing else. Something about Discord's HTML is mangled in a way, I suppose. So I have to do the same pasting into a plaintext editor first, to strip it of markup. For clarity, this is macOS, pasting from the Discord app to Kagi Translate in Safari.

This rich text paste is always a really annoying feature whenever it pops up in nearly anything, I find. For Kagi Translate I wish it was a toggleable feature, though I'd consider evaluating if anyone really makes use of it!

Hi, is the Translator's cloud sync e2e encrypted or not?

I translated a Chinese character, and when clicking the speak button on the Chinese it prefixed the character with "Read the following in a clear and natural tone:" in Chinese.
