Ability to export all Assistant chats in one go

Hi,

First, I'm loving Kagi Assistant!

That said, I know I can export one conversation to Markdown using the menu > download option.

I would like a way to download all my conversations with all details to JSON, a compressed file with all conversations in Markdown or both options.

I have used the data export in chatGPT and Claude.ai to make a backup of my conversations. This also allows me to import them into a small app I made to use full-text search. Having such an export also gives me pease of mind that I will not lose data.

The best case scenario for me would be to get the data in such a way that I can parse it and get the same data I see in the KAGI Assistant UI.

I would like to either have a menu in the assistant or in the assistant settings to get a backup of all the conversations. Once I click the button, I either can download the file directly or I get a message stating that I will receive an email with a download link.

I would like to have an option to download all the conversations as a big JSON or as a compressed ZIP-File, with each conversation as a JSON or Markdown file (configurable).

In the case of ChatGPT and Claude.ai, I can go to settings, data privacy and click on data export. When clicked, I get a message that I will get a download link within 24 hours (usually I get the link within a couple of minutes). When I download the file, I get a ZIP-File with a JSON that has all the conversations, a JSON with more details and a folder with the attached files. Those files are referenced in the conversations.

A user wants to download all chat history, so they can click a simple button or request button that allows them to download a file, or a link to a download will be emailed to them.

This is a great idea. I just want to make sure – since Kagi doesn't store images and files, which could lead to confusion, just mentioning the file name should be sufficient.

It's work in progress and is expected to go live within the next one or two releases.

Luis we changed priorities and this dropped off our schedule. This functionality is still on our roadmap, please bear with us for a little longer.

I would like to see a local backup option for Kagi Assistant. I can easily go through multiple conversations while on my computer, but on mobile it's quite the hassle. Sometimes I want chats to be temporary, sometimes not. If they were stored locally, there would be no worries.

Duck.ai provides this, along with the temporary conversations.
