Leaving the image gallery/view by pressing the X or esc requires several clicks/taps

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Open any report or suggestion that has images.
2. Click an image to view it
3. Attempt to exit that view by pressing the X in the top right or by pressing esc
4. Notice that doing so consistently requires several attempts

Expected functionality:
It should only require a single tap/click to exit that view.
