I think if there is a place that should approximate airports, it's definitely the feedback system of a product! 😂 Kagi staff should understand this is probably one of the top causes for concern that remains unaddressed with the product so far.
Personally I think Vlad's answer here is a load of BS—no one is asking Kagi to "fix the world", but removing an index that I and (from what it seems like) many others have never derived any value from is a small fry move that I doubt anyone would notice. Prove me wrong.
I also find it concerning that both:
- That thread that I linked above was locked, despite it being highly voted upon.
- Kagi has since removed their list of indices they use to collate search data from, which makes me suspicious of future claims of transparency and privacy they may make.
No one is asking you to bend to fashionable political opinions, but doing business with Russian companies and the Russian state is illegal in many countries. It would in fact be a sensible and pragmatic business decision to remove Russian dependencies from the Kagi supply chain for legal reasons alone.
