I used you.com before and they have the search bar on the bottom, this is super helpful on mobile where you want to quickly amend or change the search text.
most browsers changed the url bar to the bottom for the same reason, now I change the search in the url bar since that is easier, but then I loose the suggestions of the kagi search.

I would like to have it as an option, the UI already has so many options adding the option to move the search to the bottom on mobile (and desktop) is a great way to improve the UX on phones

raphty can you show a screenshot of what that looks like ? url bar next to search bar may look a bit weird?

Problem: Searching on iPhones with the Kagi extension + hijack hack overwrites the address bar search query with the Kagi URL. Editing the query requires reaching to the top of the screen which is difficult with larger phones.

Feature Request: a setting to move the search box to the bottom of the screen on mobile browsers.

Editing/refining search queries on iOS is a terrible: the search box is way up top and hard to reach when holding the phone with one hand.

JamesT @Vlad You has the search modification buttons also at the bottom. IMO the option to move the search bar to the bottom should also move the corresponding UI elements.
