Suggestion for calculator/unit conversion

I don't use the calculator or unit conversion feature that much as it isn't that intuitive to use, but I sometimes miss it when I'm just on my phone.
On my laptop I always use the CLI qalc https://qalculate.github.io/
They also have a GTK frontend (not important for this suggestion) and a c++ library https://github.com/Qalculate/libqalculate.

I don't know if this is feasible for Kagi, but I thought it would be worth a try to suggest it.

Vlad what do you mean with services? Web requests? None, except when it fetches the currency exchange rates. Everything else is completely handled by the libqalculate library, offline.

Vlad It uses a mix of sources, according to this github comment:

Qalculate! fetches 32 exchanges rates from the European Central Bank (https://www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/eurofxref/eurofxref-daily.xml), Bitcoin rate from Coinbase (https://api.coinbase.com/v2/prices/spot?currency=EUR), and over 100 additional exchange rates from mycurrency.net (https://www.mycurrency.net/=US). In addition a few obsolete currencies are supported.

I would love this so much. This is the one thing for me where i need to switch back to the big G at times.
For example: What's the current value of 100g of gold in my local currency? (I roughly know the price per troy ounce in usd)
"100g * 1990 usd per troy ounce in dkk"
Google just crunches that, no questions asked.

A way to improve upon it would be to allow custom units. e.g. I just read that humanity consumes 70.000.000 chicken each year, so I'd like to know:
"70 million chicken / year / population of earth in chicken per person per week"

To me at least, implementing this seems like a combination of a coders wet dream and nightmare at the same time ^^
