I hope this is not a duplicate, I've found some overlapping suggestions, but not exactly this.

I would love to have a page like https://duckduckgo.com/bangs, but with the Kagi specific bangs and my personal bangs.
I wish I could find the bangs that Kagi adds to the DuckDuckGo ones and the ones I personally added more quickly.

The site could be similar structured to the DuckDuckGo one, but have a filter option/extra category for the bangs that I only have with Kagi. The 'category' should also include bangs like !maps which also exists on DuckDuckGo but redirects to Kagi maps instead of Google Maps.

@Vlad thanks, I missed this somehow. But I'd still like to see my personal bangs at a glance, also for the lenses. Would this be possible?

Value7609 Please define the ask exactly. Where is this, what it looks like etc..

        It should open via !bang/!bangs
Could be also linked to on https://kagi.com and/or the sidebar, where also the datacenter region is shown.
The URL could be similar to https://duckduckgo.com/bangshttps://kagi.com/bangs
The Page should describe what bangs are and there should be a search bar for them, similar to DuckDuckGo. In my mind it looks very similar to the one from duckduckgo except the kagi branding, but I'm definitely not a frontend designer, and I love the design of all the Kagi sites, very simple but still full of features and settings.

        Differences to DuckDuckGo's site

        Kagi personalized bangs

List all places where a user can define their own bangs and explain them, or link to the documentation. I envision something like the mockup you posted on discord for the descriptions of the different AI assistant modes.

        Lenses https://kagi.com/settings?p=lenses
        Custom bangs https://kagi.com/settings?p=custom_bangs
        Quick Bangs https://kagi.com/settings?p=search
(Am I missing another place where a user can define bangs?)

        More categories

Incorporate more bang categories (I'm talking about the categories that are currently listed on the DuckDuckGo site below the search bar at the bottom of the page)

        Kagi bangs

Examples: !help, !i, !m, !n, !v, !sum, !answer, !llm, !asks, etc...
These should only include the bangs that link to Kagi related sites, Kagi search queries

        "Diff"/"Differences"

        Examples: !maps, !img,!p, ...
This should include bangs that DuckDuckGo also has, but link to different pages.

This will be useful for DuckDuckGo users that already used bangs heavily and may be confused why it links to another page.
For example, a few days ago someone on discord was confused why !p does not link to Pinterest like they were used to in DuckDuckGo.

There will be overlap with the Kagi specific bang category, don't know if there is a better solution for this, could also be some kind of search 'filter'?

        Personal bangs

The categories above should be static and not include user specific bangs, this category is dynamic and user specific. It should list these bangs that are different for the user, for example if they defined it for a lens, created a custom bang, or made a bang available as a quick bang (without !).

        Search

The search, would look IMO better in a columnar design:

        BangTitle/Name/DomainURLCategory
        !helpKagi Knowledgebase (kagi.com)https://help.kagi.com/kagi/?search=%sKagi
        !aAmazon (amazon.com)https://amazon.com/search?q=%sShopping

Another column could be if it is a quick bang or not, but I suppose this could be harder to accomplish?

        Future

These are some ideas that don't currently exist in Kagi and could be added later on.

        Bangs library

Similar to lenses, make custom bangs shareable and let the user add bangs defined by the community.

        Bangs statistics

See what users use bangs for, which get used the most. I don't know if this is something that Kagi wants, but I have it in mind very similar to the domain blocking part on https://kagi.com/stats.

          4 months later

          Value7609 I have a similar suggestion:

https://duckduckgo.com/bangs is too slow: If I type "Naver," not all the keys are registered: "Nver"

So I started imagining a better interface: Kagi Bang autocomplete!

          1. After you enter ! in the Kagi search box, an autocomplete with results similar to https://duckduckgo.com/bangs appears.
          2. I think throttling/debouncing the results refresh would fix the missed key input. Delay initial display of the autocomplete for cases where the user already knows the bang.
          3. Clicking on one of the results autocompletes the bang. (When you don't know what the bang is)
            a. Type "wire"
            b. Click Wirecutter result
            c. Search input field changed to !twc
          4. Manually typing a bang and space also closes the bang autocomplete. (When you already know the bang)
          5. Of course, https://kagi.com/bangs can complement this autocomplete. The autocomplete can even link to this page.

Vlad it's the case for the search input on kagi.com but not the browser search bar.

EDIT: sorry, I just realized you replied to leftium, who specifically mentioned the search box on kagi

              No one is typing
