Edit: Updated Behavior
With the History
icon line selected, where does that go? That's right, it's a Kagi search result! (Keep in mind, this is after I've navigated to giphy.com
before)
So not only does it perform a Kagi search, but it also forces me to click the search result for Giphy to actually go to the site. It's not super common, and has kinda been hard to track down, but it's super jarring when it does happen.
Original (still somewhat relevant):
I don't know if this is within the purview of Kagi, but I'm pretty used to typing the name of a site and letting Chrome autofill it, normally it would be some link, but with Kagi the FQDN shows up but then still perform a search.
It's a little hard to pin point the exact behavior. It seems like Chrome will auto-fill domains you've visited before
but Kagi doesn't seem to (or be able to?)
Although when I visit it in this session it does seem to fill the domain? (I hadn't visited the domain in the light theme screenshot)
Regardless, it doesn't happen to often but sometimes I'll end up selecting the suggested FQDN and then making a Kagi search which I generally try to avoid if I don't need it to save the cost of the search.
