Kagi comes across as a sympathetic/honest/friendly company to me. You are offering a privacy-friendly alternative to the spying and very commercial Google (and other organisations) in this world. I can imagine that it might be beneficial to 'anchor' this goal into the company structure Kagi.
I'm not too familiar with company structures in the US. At least in The Netherlands, I know that there are several companies (in IT and other sectors). An example of such a structure is a 'steward-owned company'.
The goal would be that you ensure that future decisions about the company, will be taken while keeping the defined goal in mind, instead of only providing value to shareholders.
I guess that this is not really relevant at this time, since Kagi is not so big already, but perhaps it could be interesting to look into. To me as a consumer it would give me peace of mind and a good feeling about the company, knowing that Kagi will not grow big and eventually get 'commercialised' in ways that go against its current goals.
