This is a Wishlist but i felt it could be beneficial.
Enhanced User Controls - Introduce granular filtering options that allow users to customize their exposure to AI-generated content. Instead of a binary filter, users could adjust a slider to set their tolerance level for AI content, from "block all" to "show all," with intermediate settings like "show only high-quality AI content." (if you believe such a thing exists.) This would give users more control over their search experience while still protecting them from low-quality "slop."
Expanded Flagging Categories
Expand the flagging system beyond just identifying AI-generated content to include categories such as "misleading title," "poor factual accuracy," or "clickbait." This would provide richer data for Kagi's algorithms and help combat other forms of low-quality content that degrade search results. ( but i think you should be very careful on this feature, especially for news sources. Many users will try to for many different reasons try to "silence" certain sources for saying things they don't like. Political, philosophical, being an idiot, thinking the person making the page is an idiot, pretty much any reason someone may see as justifiable.)
Transparency Dashboard
Create a public dashboard showing statistics on flagged domains, types of content flagged, and actions taken. This would increase transparency, build trust in the system, and allow the community to see the impact of their contributions. (maybe even allow for users to overrule the ruling and allow it to stay for them or even the ability to vote that its ok)
Browser Extension Integration
Develop a browser extension that highlights AI-generated content across the web, not just within Kagi Search. This would extend SLOPSTOP's utility beyond search results and help users identify potentially deceptive content while browsing.
Advanced Detection Methods
Incorporate more sophisticated AI detection techniques, such as analyzing writing patterns, metadata, or using watermarking technologies if they become standardized. This could reduce reliance on user reports for obvious cases and improve detection accuracy.
If you or any other users have any other ideas feel free to add it below~ Cheers
