Frequent, repetitive searches should not count against quota

I often find myself to search for the same thing several times, simply because I sometimes forget to bookmark a certain page.

For example, I didn't remember what the name of the Kagi Subreddit was called.

So I ended up searching for "Kagi subreddit" several times.

Each time, I consumed one of my searches.

Could you consider excluding such repetitive searches that do not yield any new result, so that actual quota is consumed only if I am searching for something new?

I imagine that Kagi needs to run the search to see if the results have changed, regardless of their ability to cache.

When I'm on the starter plan (with metered searches) I tend to run trivial searches with free search engines to not waste Kagi searches. Either with a bang, or using the browser's shortcut (starting the search with a letter, like "g foo" will use Google to search "foo").

Hi, we already cache searches for about 5 minutes, which if I'm not mistaken shouldn't count against your quota. How would you envision it working? Like @bln said there's not really a way I can see that doesn't either still run searches or involve saving your search history.
