Kagi Summarize Apps Feedback

I would like to echo the sentiment that it'd be great to have the .apk file externally hosted outside of any store. I use a phone without any Google services, and I download and update apps via Obtainium, so it'd be great to be able to get the updates outside of Google Play Store. Right now I am forced to use external third-party tools to download the .apk from Google Play, which is not ideal.

I shared the Kagi Summarize app with my dad, and he wondered if he could copy and paste or otherwise share a summary. It appears that you can do neither. I thought this would be a nice feature to add.

I have tried to use Kagi Summarize with the new transcription sharing option in Pocket Casts. Unfortunately I had no luck. It seems Pocket Casts shares a txt file and Kagi Summarize doesn't pick it up for some reason.

nichu42 Just to be sure: you want to summarize the text content and not the audio content, right?

nichu42 I just tried it on one of the podcast episodes in Pocket Casts and it worked. Do you have an episode link that I could test with? I'm trying to reproduce this issue.

Yannick Yes. The app has transcribe built-in. You can share the transcription. It seems it sends a plain txt file due to clipboard limitations. See https://github.com/Automattic/pocket-casts-android/pull/4369

daniell_kagi Any. It doesn't work at all for me. On my tablet, a transparent (empty) popup appears when I share to Summarizer. On my phone, that popup seems to be fullscreen. I don't see anything happening, but all buttons become inaccessible.

The app is convenient, I’d like it to use a dark theme when the OS is configured as such though.
