Hmm it seems to be better now as calc/= brings up the normal result which I think it didn't before, I recall calc just bringing up the legacy widget that can't handle percentages when I was reporting it.
But the = is still inconsistently required for some calculations with percentages, for example 5+0.5% works directly but 5+0.2% doesn't and needs a prefixed =, similar thing with 11839+1% and 11839-1% which is the query I noticed this with.
The math results in the suggestions also don't appear with percentages
