Kagi Translate should be able to translate images

As the title says, Kagi Translate is extremely good as it is, but it does not allow to translate text from images.
This is a feature I personally relay on a lot which forces me into using Google Translate.

Is this something that could be added to Translate at some point?

Enter Kagi Translate, click on Image, be able to post a link to the image, drag and drop the image, search the image to upload or directly ctrl+v the image.

Would be amazing if an extension of Kagi Translate was create with this included, but that's not truly needed right now.

Giorgio any update on this one? The link I posted before should give an idea of a very simply way to implement the feature, by letting users simply select an area of the page to screenshot and OCR/translate. I was using a fork of this app until I ended up making my own system wide one instead. But it would be good if Kagi translate could handle all translation needs, at least those in browser.

Hi Kagi Team and wonderful users.
I was wondering if there could be an option to upload an image for translation.

Its pretty straight forward, google have a halfway decent implementation but their accuracy in the translations is lacking.

The ability to upload an image either taken with a camera, or a screenshot of text and get that translated with Kagi Translate.

I find some text in an image on the internet and would like it translated, I can't copy paste it out of the image because it's an image, and I don't have the appropriate letters on my keyboard to re-type it (think Japanese or Hindi). I would upload the image into Kagi Translate and it would translate it much like how Google Lens does by overlaying the translated text over the original text.

I could also use a camera shortcut to take a picture of text in person on a piece of paper or in the world and have it function the same way.

This is a big one. Lots of sites annoyingly embed text in images. This does it well:

License means it can't just be copied, but I think it gives a good idea of how it should work. Simply being able to select a part of the page and have OCR/translate performed on it.
