Steps to reproduce:
Search for "sony instant mode"

Expected behavior:
The terms 'sony', 'instant' and 'mode' to be highlighted in bold in the search results

This is the default behavior of search engines like Google, trying to match related words from those included in your query.

If you really want exact matches, you have the following options (correct me if I'm wrong):

Use verbatim mode - which will make the search using only the words you typed without any further semantic analysis.

Use quotes with your search - this will be even more specific and only match the whole string in the exact order you typed.

Thanks for that Browsing6853 - in this case I'm highlighting that the word "photography" is not related at all. Sony Instant Mode is a piece of software on certain VAIO computers, and has no relation to photography.

I will take the opportunity to ask about general snippet improvements. Google recently released an update that makes their snippets much better, will it arrive to Kagi too? I find the current system of choosing between short/long snippets awful - you all know the length doesn't say anything about quality.

z64 Yeah, that is exactly why I don't link this setting at all. You are not even choosing between reading the long snippet or the short snippet of the same good quality paragraph, you are picking only based on the length even if one of the snippets could be much better than the other.

Anyway, the bug report is about the highlighted words. "Google search" has only a special contrast in the second image (I updated the title accordingly).
