Forward navigation history is lost when going back to Kagi

Steps to reproduce:

Open Edge in “Guest Mode” so there are no extensions or customizations that interfere.
Open kagi.com
Search for “kagi faq”
Click the first result, “Kagi Search” (which, incidentally, should probably be retitled “Kagi Search FAQ”). The FAQ page opens.
Click the browser back button. The Kagi search results page reopens.
The forward button is not available, and the FAQ page does appear in the history.
Repeat these steps with google.com to show that the forward button does work there.

The forward button does work in Safari, so this appears to be an Edge bug.

Expected behavior:
Forward button should return me to the FAQ page.

Debug info:
Edge Version 102.0.1245.39 on macOS 12.4, Kagi us-central

quinncom Not sure if we have resources to debug browser behavior like this. It seems to work fine in Safari/Orion. If you can provide additional debug info why this doesnt work in Edge that would helpful.

I'd be happy to help troubleshoot this. Is the Kagi front-end source code available? It's more difficult reverse engineering minified javascript files in the browser. 🙃

quinncom Perhaps a good first step would be to check Firefox/Chrome to isloate Edge potentially.

You can also try disabling JS.

Resurrecting this, but I get this same behaviour on mobile Safari too, with only the Kagi extension installed. Was the cause ever identified?
