Maybe because they stopped using Kagi?
I don't enjoy the fact that Kagi gets search results from Brave, and I would actually gladly pay a little more if that meant Kagi could be more independent and not have to get search results from them and other problematic sources.
But, like Vlad said in his post, Kagi can't be independent at this stage. Hopefully that will change with time.
