The search engine does not return any results when the query includes non-alphanumeric characters - e.g., colons, question marks, even with Auto Quick Answer disabled. Additionally, after performing a search with special characters, subsequent queries using only alphanumeric characters also yield no results. A new tab must be opened to be able to search again.
Screenshot 1: Search query with colon (no results)
Screenshot 2: Same search without colon in the same session/browser tab (no results)
Screenshot 3: Same search as in screenshot 2 but in a new browser tab (working)
It makes no difference whether the search query is entered directly into Kagi or through the browser's search bar (in my case, Firefox).
I expected the search engine to return relevant results regardless of the presence of non-alphanumeric characters in the query. Even after entering a query with special characters, subsequent searches using only alphanumeric characters should return results without requiring a new tab. The search engine should maintain functionality and not break after any query.
