When the connection is lost, or other errors occur on the Android app opens a modal dialog over the main search interface which cannot be closed by and means I can find. It's technically possible to operate the search interface through the sliver visible above and below the popup, but obs not usable.
The only resolution seems to be to force close the Kagi app and start again.
For the error dialog to be closable, probably smaller, or better to disappear altogether.
The dog and ball thing is cute the first few times then an annoying delay... but perhaps there is room for a dog and ball game much as chrome has the famous dinosaur and cactus game.
