I have a follow-up question about anonymity and payment options: Is it all for naught if someone on my account doesn't use a VPN?
I am strict about using a VPN but some family members--who I would share a family plan with--are not. Will this essentially unmask my identity, since someone could (I think?) identify my family member through their other web traffic, see their use of kagi, and put that together with their kagi user data which would then also suggest me--being one of their close contacts in real life--as one of the other account users?
This is obviously all in a sort of "worst case scenario" where someone I don't like gets access to kagi user data, which kagi obviously doesn't want to allow to happen. But as others above have said, good intentions on kagi's part--while appreciated--don't rule out this possibility.
Basically I'm wondering whether, to make sure my kagi account isn't ever tied to me personally, I would have to not only do the Monera --> Bitcoin thing at a "No KYC" exchange but also make sure to use a VPN and make sure that everyone else on the account uses a vpn.
I'm definitely a bit of a newbie at all of this privacy stuff so I may not even be asking all of the right questions, so also if other thoughts occur to people I would love to hear them.
Thanks!
