Sometimes when editing a chat message, it switches to a different assistant

I've noticed that sometimes (not always) if i'm in a chat and click the edit button on a previous chat message of mine, instead of using the same model and search yes/no as is my default AND was the setting on that change message i'm not editing; turns into my first custom assistant and search on

I expect both to be set to whatever that chat message was previously set to

I'm also seeing random assistant model changes that I haven't been able reproduce, it's just jarring. It's actually why I started using Claude, the selected profile kept reverting back to Claude.

I suspected at the time all our user settings were just getting reset from rapid code updates during the beta.

I think i'm able to repro it:

Start a chat by sending your first message. (make sure it gives a very long response)
Then click the edit button on that first message while the first response is being typed out still.
Then you' should see it use the first custom assistant instead of the originally selected assistant settings.

Thibaultmol I tried following your steps but wasn't able to reproduce the problem. If you can find the time, could you please record a video of what you're seeing?

Sorry, slightly harder to repro.
You have to edit a 3rd time for it work:
