Add info box with section description (e.g. blast from the past, interesting finds, listicles)

I'd find it useful and interesting to have an ℹ️ on which you can hover and get a short description on what the section is about. Sometimes it's obvious (e.g. listicles), but not always (i.e. what does interesting finds actually aim to show you?). Having a short 1-3 sentence description of those widgets would be useful for better understanding their contents. Also, I'd find it really interesting to learn more about them this way, more as a way of geeking about funky search engine features, which I'd expect to happen to other users given the niche.

Well, from what I understood kagi prides itself with finding interesting results in general, via a non-commercial index and ranking based on trackers, etc. So I'm not sure what would then show up under interesting finds. Are those results which other search engines couldn't pick up? Or rather results which somehow stand apart from the others? Imho knowing what sort of info you're presented with is a really cheap way of slightly improving search. And adding an info box for one section would probably make it consistent to add a subtle "i" somewhere for others, too. Or perhaps just a section in the FAQ listing the various special sections would do. I feel it's entirely obvious to you guys what the actual sections do, but a tiny bit vague for users. 🙂

I understand your point. I am trying to solve for clean UI.

Having (i) clutters the UI, specially since its utility rapidly drops after user has clicked it once or twice. Then it just annoys.

We can always improve FAQ, but the sad truth is that FAQs are rarely read.

So we try to make the interface as intuitive as possible without the need for extra documentation.
