I found this thread as I was going to create one as well. So sorry for bringing it back to life. I concur with the original post.
What I was hoping to see when I search for 'brownie recipe' was of course a list of recipe results. Then I usually scan through what is the average rating displayed in the search results for each recipe, as well as how many reviews make up that rating. I then quickly narrow down a few that look like the top picks by consensus. This can have the side effect I understand of not looking at something that maybe great, but without much if any reviews. And a site could just be making up their ranking. So I also tend to then look at the comments section to get a sense of are people actually making this recipe what is their feedback.
I had never used neeva prior to finding Kagi, and tried the same search there based on the original comment above. And the built in recipe parsing in the previews showing ingredients and cooking steps is super awesome. That would be an amazing feature to bring to Kagi. It quickly allows you to also see if you have or need ingredients or have the time and equipment for the needed cooking steps without needing to wade through the whole recipe page.
I have tried the recipe lens, but I would still want the above features even with that lens.
