My session link is not working

I've tried pasting in my session link into an incognito window and then appending a search like &q=cupcake. It takes me to the login prompt.

I've tried logging out and logging back in to recreate a fresh token. I still get sent to a login prompt.

As a new user, it feels a bit bait-and-switch because search Just Worked in incognito mode during the free trial, without needing to mess with any tokens or extensions. Paying $5 has made your service slightly worse!

The session link should search while I'm logged in.

I see now from your video that I can search after I navigate to that link in an incognito window. I'm wondering how I can search from the location bar in my incognito window without that first step of pasting in the link. The approach I tried was to bookmark my session link and attach a keyboard shortcut to the bookmark (this is in Firefox). I'm wondering what the screenshot means about "used with your browser's search engine template".

Is it because you have the extension installed?

It has to do with the browser you're using. Please follow the instructions at this link to configure your browser to use Kagi Search on private sessions. If you encounter any issues, please let me know.
