Custom Bangs - optional "!" symbol instead of 'quick bangs' setting

you have to press 2 buttons to enter "!" symbol, in the same time, for example, Google Chrome has search shortcuts without "!".

It is 'quick bangs' (Settings - Search - General) but it is limited to just '20 allowed maximum'
Moreover additional setting confusing users.

maybe Kagi can make bangs "!" symbol optional as well?
and remove 'quick bangs' setting?

so user will deside if he want to use "y Ocean" request to search "Ocean" in youtube instead of "!y Ocean"

A toggle to enable quick bangs for all bangs could be nice, but I’m against completely getting rid of the quick bangs option. Some users might only want quick bangs enabled on bangs of their choice (e.g. the user might have a bang with trigger ‘a’, which would be triggered when they search for ‘a cat’, etc.)

It can be similar to Google Chrome search shortcuts:
Users can then use the "!a" shortcut or "aa", "+f", "abc" shortcut for certain case as they wish.

On second thought, perhaps we could add the quick bangs setting to the custom bangs section? (and remove the 20-bang limit if possible?)

A potential problem would be design inconsistency (Perhaps we could redesign the quick bangs section instead to let users easily search & set bangs as quick bangs?)

dima I'm not exactly sure how "Google chrome search shortcuts" works, as the link you've provided doesn't really show how you'd use them.

Assuming that you're proposing a feature to customize the bang prefix, I still think users should have a choice on which bangs to enable 'quick bangs' on.

As you can see you have "Shortcut" field where you can enter "!w" or "w" or any shortcut you like.
No any extra settings are needed.
