Convert unit automatically for simple search terms

Searching for very simple terms like "23 USD", "3pm est", "40 inches" should show the conversion to the user's country default unit. This should help many people who search without thinking twice and consequently uses two searches for a simple thing.

Browsing6853 We do not know what country the searcher is from. Also it is not obvious whether you want "40 inches" to be converted to yards (what google does) or cm (what I would expect)?

Some things can be done but this is not trivial and would probably require assembling a list of easy/no brainer ones we should consider. Also not sure about how many people actually use this short format, but it does sound like a lot of work.

Here's one no-brainer case that should autoconvert (Farenheit to Celsius, note international region).

The use case is that I could simply highlight some text on a website, right-click -> search with kagi and get an understandable unit, no keyboard interaction needed.

Here's a short list of things I would suggest with an international (or any non-US region, vice versa with US):
miles to kilometers
miles per gallon to liters/100km
yards to meters
feet to meters
inches to cm
gallons to liters
pounds to kg
stones to kg
ounces to grams
fluid ounces to (milli|centi)liters
cups to deciliters
feet+inches (5'8" format) to cm
farenheit to celsius
dollars to euro (not sure about this one, maybe only converting to local currency on more specific region than international)
football fields to soccer fields 🙂
