Currently, you can use Enter
to access a search result. However, it'd be nice to be able to CTRL + Enter
to open a search result in a new tab. I often open a few promising results before looking into them sequentially, without having to change context more times by getting back to the search results.
Extra notes:
- The idea was briefly mentioned in this other ticket, but it got lost as it wasn't the main focus.
- DuckDuckGo already does that.
- It's analogous to the relation between
click
and CTRL + click
, so it's easy to get the hang of it.
- As far as I can tell, it doesn't interfere with any other features because the shortcut wasn't doing anything before.
