Apple Sign In, then Set Password, Breaks Apple Sign In

Steps:

Create new account with Apple Sign In
Settings > Account > Set a password
Try to Apple Sign In again

Can not sign back in via Apple Sign In, even though the UI in step 2 says "You can still use your alternative login method to log in."

I expect to be able to sign in via Apple Sign In

hanji If there is a password set we enforce it. Otherwise someone may sign up with your email address (we do not verify) and later when you sign up with oauth (like apple) the attacker could have access to your account. By enforcing use of password if one exists, this is cirumvented.

If the person created the account with that specific oauth, this is expected behaviour. Either way, the UI text saying "You can still use your alternative login method to log in." is incorrect and misleading.
