Very suspicious censorship in Ukraine results

Hi!

I've discovered something very troubling on Kagi today. I think this is a serious issue and I would consider cancelling my subscription over it.

While searching for pro-Ukrainian demonstration in Berlin for tomorrow, 24.02.2024 on the 2 year date after the Russian invasion - Kagi gives absolutely no results. It's as if I'm browsing the Russian web.

The results are either old or irrelevant and completely miss tomorrows event.

I sincerely hope this is addressed - I really love Kagi

cirnatdan It would help us debug, if you had examples from other search engines of results you were expecting to see that Kagi does not have.

ps. There is no censorship in Kagi

Switching regions to Germany I get this article as one of the top results:

Vlad see the first result in the Google screenshot. Google didn't even need "Ukraine" as a prompt to give me the most relevant result.

I trust Kagi doesn't do censorship - but I suspect it's one of the Search Sources you are using might be compromised. I would point fingers at Yandex - but their own results seemed better than Kagi's.

cirnatdan One unexpected result does not make something 'compromised'.

It is hard to say now what happened at that time, as we get results both from google and yandex so they should have been there. The results now seem to be much more inline with what you would expect.
