Google bang does not work on iOS

this happens with Google links as well
this happens also when typing a google address into the address field

We have 2.2.2 out in testflight which should address this issue.

@Vlad unfortunately the issue still persists with 2.2.2. I posted above but it might have gotten lost when other posts were merged into this one, is there anything I can do to help debug what's going on? The issue appears and disappears randomly so I'm thinking it will be a hard one to debug, therefore when it happens, I'd like to send diagnostics if possible.

I had to switch back to 2.2.1 because 2.2.2 wasn't redirecting any of my searches to Kagi anymore. It did seem like the search bar on Kagi handled the bang in the new version though.

2.2.2 looks fine atm for me. I have both default search engine and the Kagi extension set to yahoo which I never use. Now searching via google.com and with the shebang both work again. Thanks!

this happens to me too ("!g" prefix, not the suffix mentioned by OP). the query gets redirected to google successfully, but the extension catches that and redirects it back to kagi.

FYI, this seems to have been fixed. I have Kagi and Kagi for Safari apps installed.

ssg thanks for pointing this out. I can confirm that, also for me, the Google bang (g!) now works. However, parts of the (larger) issue with the Safari integration remain: when I search on kagi and then select More -> Search with … Google, kagi hijacks the link and shows the same kagi search again.

I'm using kagi for safari 2.2.7.

Any search engine bang (either prefix or suffix) like g! or ddg! , as well as choosing More -> Search with ... still gets caught by the extension, and redirects to Kagi Search. Effectively disallowing using any other search engine.
I would say that's quite bad UX. Please consider fixing this.
