Raised tmdb and still no hit when searching for movies

I raised https://www.themoviedb.org/ and lowered https://imdb.com but still when searching for movies, I only get hits on IMDb.

E.g. searching for Oppenheimer and result page shows no hit on tmdb. Tried several other searches as well.

I’d expect tmdb to at least be in the result page.

If I add tmdb to the query, I do get results.

Arguably tmdb should be included without being raised, a very good movie site.

FYI tried the same with Rotten Tomatoes, and same effect there. Only get a hit when explicitly adding rotten.

Change my region to international, and rotten tomatoes do show up, that is without mentioning rotten.

But still nothing for TMDB.

Thinking about this a bit more. I think I may understand why it happens, but still think it is something the kagi team should consider fixing, if possible.

IMDb "Website popularity" is 88, Rotten Tomatoes is 929 and TMDb is 9965. So I guess during a regular search it doesn't even surface for kagi's algorithms to consider. Would be nice if it did though, and I guess that is what we are asking.

And yes, I can create a lense for it, no problem. I guess it is just slightly surprising behavior, which others also may be surprised by.

stoyle That is exactly why it happens. Creating a lens is a good idea to get targetted results in this case.
