Himalaya I am using Kagi as default search engine in Firefox. When I search my query, Kagi is taking too much time to display the results. I have attached a video. I tried with chrome, results are slow there as well. Search results to appear faster.
Peter I also sometimes experienced this delay (a few seconds) in the last few days. Connected to EUROPE-WEST2.
Vlad Thanks for feedback everyone. Uploading a video of the actual session with browse inspector open in network inspector will help us debug.
KagiForMe Vlad Here is a timing overview. Note that Firefox is marking the response of https://kagi.com/socket/search?q=test&nonce=my_nonce as slow. It takes 1.5 s waiting, 1.5 s receiving: Also note that the rest of the request is either cached or fast. Only the real search results are slow to deliver.
eikowagenknecht It's also really slow here, very noticeable today. Here's a screencap: Searching from Vodafone gigabit cable internet, Hanover, Germany Google search in comparison:
KagiForMe @Vlad , could this be prioritised, it feels bad paying for a search engine with this speed:
Himalaya KagiForMe I would also request the same @Vlad Zac, on discord, mentioned that he may have found an issue and fix will be out in few hours. I will test it out when it’s out.
Vlad Himalaya In your case there is something between our server and you that is slowing down the traffic it is not clear what. From your screenshot, Kagi generated response in 0.8 seconds and normally this takes about 100ms to reach back the client. What does your latency say here (in Kagi sidebar)
Himalaya I have attached the screenshot with latency, how do I check what may be affecting the response time? If you can guide me as to what may be affecting I can look into that
