Setting theme-color meta attribute doesn't work

The custom CSS settings allow for specifying a theme color (for light/dark themes seperately). The description says that it's used "to set the theme-color meta attribute on the page". I've specified a color as follows, but only an empty <meta name="theme-color" content=""> attribute is generated no matter whether I do that:

Specifying the color does seem to generate some other tag (<div aria-hidden="true" hidden id="user_theme_color_light" data-theme-color="#cfd4e0">), but it would be nice if the meta tag was generated properly as well (my use-case is setting a different site color for Vivaldi).

Tested and it works as expected, except when a "light/dark" theme is selected.

georgee I have system default selected but can reproduce the issue with light/dark as well.

My expectation (from the option description) was that specifying the Kagi Theme Color setting as shown above would yield the following meta tag (when using the light theme):

<meta name="theme-color" content="#cfd4e0">

What I get instead is:

<meta name="theme-color" content="">

Is this behavior different for you?

Note that the theme color is set correctly for Chrome on mobile, maybe you looked at that? As mentioned above I'm using Vivaldi, and setting the theme color works differently there. Vivaldi checks only the meta tag and falls back to deriving a theme color from the favicon.

Can you please share more details?
Do you have System default, selected in Kagi settings? or it's light/dark.
Also, are you trying to change the meta color on the desktop browser?

Holger Right now it only works for System default. Empty content="" for light/dark was a bug and it will be fixed in the next release.
