Please consider extending the existing Redirects feature to rewrite the URL based on whether the result is paywalled.
This way, the users could conditionally use the Redirect feature only if the result is paywalled.
This could be achieved by adding an 'Enable only for paywalled results' tick box next to an individual Redirect rule. Then the user could write a wildcard rule covering everything, but only have it apply to paywalled content.
The primary way that I would use this, and I envision others using it, is by rewriting paywalled content to open via an archive service or via https://12ft.io/ or https://txtify.it/.
