Lens excluded words not working

This lens has these words excluded: "FL", FL, Florida

When selecting the lens and searching "pizza order", "train", "history" (try it with other search terms too) Florida is not excluded. About half the search results involve Florida:

Expected behaviour

I expected zero search results to mention Florida as per the lens settings.

Alternatives I considered

Search region set to New Zealand: Results are okay but ranking "feels" worse. I don't have any factual stats to corroborate this.
Adding NZ or New Zealand to search terms: Some results are excluded because not all results include those words.

Overall I prefer normal results with Florida excluded more than New Zealand-filtered results.

The bug is not fixed.

Recast Thanks for verifying. It is fixed to our best ability to fix it, we did make some improvements. We acknowledge it does not work perfectly, it is a limitation of how excluded terms work for at the moment.
