Set LIGHTNING as default method for bitcoin payments and add documentation on how to apply credits to your account

Make lightning the default payment method for bitcoin payments - currently it is on-chain.

This will be cheaper for end users and also for Kagi, avoiding on-chain feed.

Improve documentation for new user going from free plan - it is not obvious that you need to select a plan on the other screen - this will avoid support calls and user frustration

It would be best to have Lightning as the default payment for bitcoin - this will be easiest and cheapest for everyone. Currently the default is on-chain. I did not notice this when I made my payment and ended up with high on-chain fees and Kagi too will have fees to use the small amounts. Lightning solves this.

Also when going from the free trial my payment did not seem to do anything - I had to contact support to be told that it is first necessary to select a plan (it is obvious when you think about it) - that is not obvious for new users

When you say improve the documentation - can you refer to what documentation are you refering to to begin with? (note documentation at help.kagi.com is open source and can be edited by users already). What would have helped you the most?

Vlad I was transitioning from a free account and had hit the 100 search limit. I paid for $10 for the professional option but did not see anything change on my account - it remained blocked.

I needed to contact support for them to explain that it was first necessary to select a subscription option and then manually to apply the $10 that I had paid. With hindsight this is obvious but not when trying to sign on and with no searches working!

Appreciate that the documentation is open source and I will have a look. BTW - I do love the Kagi service and it is great that you take bitcoin/lightning payments. I do also support the request for monero...everything in due course
