Search by site with colon

I was looking for the NYT RSS feeds. So I typed in “site:nytimes.com rss”. In Kagi it says no results, but on DuckDuckGo it does what is expected, it searches the New York Times website for the term “RSS” and found the result I was looking for. Perhaps there is a different way to trigger a site specific search, but the “site:example.com foo” method should work too.

Type site:example.com to restrict search to that site.

This already works, and does exactly what you say with the first result being their overview of RSS feeds. Did you maybe make a typo, or do you have nytimes.com blocked?

Oops! I had NY Times blocked by accident, my fault.

sigmasirrus @Vlad I think we could show blocked results if you explicitly use site:something-i-blocked.com? It would be a useful way to quickly override your block if you want to check if it had some results that you were missing.

z64 Maybe just a banner message that says ‘user selected filters have blocked some results’. Although this is really an edge case and I was the one who put the block in the first place. If you did create that banner I would only show it specifically when the site: search domain is in the block list.

Good idea, but will let the user create a feature suggestion for that if it resonates.
