Safari search URL instead if open

I'm using the xSearch Safari extension to set Kagi as my default search engine. Works great but now I find that when I click on a link from another app like Gmail, Safari opens and sends the link to Kagi as a search instead of opening it directly. In most cases, this leads to undesirable results.

Is this a Kagi issue or xSearch issue?

I figured it out. When I use the (recommended) Blacklist method in xSearch to override Safari default search engine instead of Global method, it works as expected.
