I want to clarify that I’m not sure this is a bug in Kagi firefox extension but I want to report it in case I’m not alone.
Symptoms: since a few weeks, Firefox on Linux randomly freeze. It’s not possible anymore to switch tabs and the tab list becomes incoherent. This sometimes heal itself after a few minutes of waiting.
I had never encountered this problem so I quickly suspected an extension. I don’t have much and managed to disable nearly all extensions while still having the bug (which is an heiseinbug). I thus disabled Kagi extension last and, since then, 48h ago, still haven’t seen the bug.
As there’s no way to reproduce the bug (it’s not even related to heavy use, it sometimes happen after a few minutes on a light tab), I cannot guarantee that this is because of Kagi extension.
I’m aware that this could be caused by Kagi extension interacting badly with another extension.
I’m aware that this could be completely unrelated to Kagi and it would simply be a coincidence.
This is not a huge deal for me as I don’t need the extension after all. Just setting kagi as default search is enough.
If I’m completely alone with this problem, this bug can probably be discarded.
