Mysterious "Hide Stats" link in "More..." menu on startpage

Steps to reproduce:
Go to kagi.com, click on "More". A menu item "Hide Stats" appears below Customize... without any obvious function.

Edit: By now I found out it does have a function, but only AFTER you performed a search.

Well it does not react at all on the startpage so maybe remove it there, and only keep it on search results page where it actually works?
