I wanted to upgrade from $5/mo to $10/mo, and it was surprisingly difficult to navigate/find. Took me about 5-10 minutes, and almost gave up. Hope this helps!
Steps to reproduce:
- Buy a $5/mo subscription.
- Hear about the better plans (like I did from https://blog.kagi.com/unlimited-searches-for-10)
- Go to kagi.com, looking for a way to upgrade. No "billing" or "plan" or "upgrade" link anywhere.
- Click settings. Still no "billing" or "plan" or "upgrade" link visible immediately or via ctrl+f.
- Search "kagi upgrade" on kagi.com. First link is kagi.com/pricing, click that. See the list of plans, feel some hope.
- Click on the $10/mo one, hoping to upgrade. It asks me to log in, even though I'm already logged in.
- Click "Already have an account? Sign in", sign in. It lands on kagi.com. Slight frustration.
- Try second kagi.com search result, but no luck from there.
- Try third kagi.com search result which goes to https://help.kagi.com/kagi/plans/premium-plan.html.
- Notice the "Billing settings" link in there, click it. Look around for a button or something, finally find a small link saying "Switch Plan" and click it. From there it's pretty easy.
I later realized that I could shorten this to 6 steps via a menu on step 4. Still, it's a bit too many steps, and other users are probably having a similar experience to mine here.
Expected behavior:
An "upgrade" link on the settings page would have resolved this, I think.
Hope this all helps! I want Kagi to succeed, and I'm sure an easier upgrade path would help Kagi and a lot of users. Cheers!
